Many years ago now, I was having a really bad back flare up. My spouse knew Pamela and suggested I go see her. That was the beginning of a years long wellness journey for me! At the time, about once or twice a year, my back would flare up so badly that I couldn't do anything for days. Now, I'm happy to say that it's been many years since my back has done that, and my life is so different. I do regular massage every three weeks, and combined with chiropractic visits and several yoga classes per week, my physical mobility is so much better. Who says you can't get better with age (and some help). I've worked with many massage therapists over the years at Proactive, and have had great experiences all around. As someone that's suffered with chronic illness and pain and has sought holistic and natural remedies, Proactive has been a crucial player in my healing journey. We had both had rather inconsistent experiences with massage and spa providers before we discovered Proactive. Jenn was the first to go and came home singing nothing but praises about her first session. I’ve been going to PMB for about 3 years and they are one of the best kept secrets in Mechanicsville. I started getting massages monthly about 7 years ago to help deal with chronic pain from prior medical surgeries. I spend all day on the computer in a demanding, nonstop job and a massage helps relieve my stress and tension. When I get a massage, depending on the day I’ve had, I either have pillow face from falling asleep during my massage because it’s so relaxing or my body is re-energized, including a sharper mind. As for the staff of therapists, they are all professional, they listen to my needs, and each have their own unique technique. I can’t recommend them enough!

Between riding horses, manual labor on the farm, and my career which requires a lot of time on the computer, I carry so much stress and tension in my upper back and my neck.
